CREATE CUSTOMIZABLE FACE RIGS using RIGIFY'S MODULAR "SKIN SYSTEM"
Rigify's new system of "Skin" Rigs is powerful but (as is common with Rigify) it's not entirely intuitive.
There are barely any tutorials for it... and the Rigify documentation sounds like a PhD paper (read it, I dare you!)
Getting the hang of this rigging system can take weeks of trial and error. I know, because that is how I learned it. :/
But thanks to this course, you don't have to suffer like I did. :)
You’ll learn every major Rigify Skin rig type, and how and when to use it.
And then we’ll practice and learn how to combine the various Skin Types into a a fully-featured, fully-customizable Face rig.
In the usual CGDive style, there is no passive watching. You'll follow along with me, building your rigs step-by-step with perfect understanding of the what you're doing. No guesswork and no “just trust me” settings. :)
You’ll see it, test it, and learn it.
This will allow you to tweak the setup when you need to adapt it to your specific characters.
This Course Is For:
✅ Blender Rigify users who want a highly customizable Face Rig!
You do not need to be an advanced rigger to take this course. However, knowing the basics of Rigify is recommended. (You can learn that with my free Rigify Fundamentals course.)
Course Structure
Section 1: Theory and Fundamentals
You'll learn how the Rigify’s face system works in plain language. You'll understand what each Skin rig type does, and how you can customize it. All settings will be presented based on clear and visual examples.
Section 2: Practice Session
You'll rig a full face rig, step-by-step, for each part of the face: eyes, nose, brows, ears, jaw, mouth and tongue.
Then, we'll literally glue these face parts together using the so-called "glue" rig type which allows us to connect and automate the face: e.g. when the mouth corner moves, the nasolabial fold and cheeks react to it.
